Harmenvir Singh Khara, known as Harm Franklin, is a Canadian-born hip-hop artist of Indian descent. He was born in Toronto, Ontario and was raised in Calgary, Alberta. From a young age, Harm developed a passion for music and began songwriting. By 2018, he wrote a verse for Merkules’ “Michael Jordan” which charted at #1 on Canadian iTunes and at #19 on the Billboard Hot 100. With his newfound success, he wanted to explore performing and putting out his own music.
In the summer of 2018, Harm travelled to Europe to perform original music at the Fresh & Dope Festival that spanned across 6 countries. He opened up for big acts including Big Sean, Meek Mill, French Montana, Pusha T, Mos Def, Fabolous, and Waka Flocka Flame. Harm found he loved performing and continued to explore different genres. He connected with fellow artist, Curtis Waters, and began creating experimental music. By 2020, “Stunnin’,” a record he created with Curtis Waters, went viral on TikTok and gained over 90-million streams on Spotify by September.
